Outdoor Senior Pictures – Hazen North Dakota senior photos

Several years ago, we did family pictures with Megan, her sister and her cousins here on their family farm.  The old stone barn with the rusted hammered tin doors were a photographer’s dream for any type of photos, but I could totally envision Megan’s senior photos here!  I told her that I was already thinking through ideas in my mind for her senior pictures but we would have to wait a couple of years.  LOL.  I was tempted to ask permission to visit this unique location with some other clients, but knew in my heart that it was Megan’s special place and it should be saved especially for her, so her senior pictures would be special and meaningful.  So, two years have passed and Megan has grown into a stunning young woman and I am in love with how her photos around the old family barn turned out.  She brought out her horses, and though the North Dakota wind was it’s usual pesky self, we got some beautiful pictures with them as well.  I love love the backlighting in Megan’s hair.  And we had to do some shots with her and her giant Ford truck.   Little girl, big truck.  LOL.  The “old crusty truck” (as her mom calls it) were kind of a filler idea, while we were waiting for her mom to find Megan’s cowboy hat.    I love those kinds of ideas, just looking around and saying, “hey, let’s give this a try”.  And of course the photos of Megan and Poop-Ears – that would be the sheep with brown tipped ears.  It reminded me of this doll my sister and I named Rash-Face because somebody drew on her with red marker that never came off.    Really, it was a great session to start off the new 2013 Senior Pictures season!  Fun, funny, inspirational and sentimental – the best types of senior pictures around.  🙂
