I am the worst weather predictor so thank goodness I get to be a photographer for a living! A huge storm was predicted for our first scheduled engagement session so I postponed making the drive and risking getting stuck. And then it never really happened…well, I guess it did, but it wasn’t nearly what was at first expected. But all in all, the wait was worth it! The snow that did fall made a really beautiful fresh white blanket over the dwindling dingy snow hanging on through the last of winter. And even with the snow, it actually felt like spring was coming and was quite warm. Really, such a lovely day with an even lovelier couple. Laura is actually our former Miss North Dakota 2013 and in addition to being gorgeous and talented, she is genuinely a super sweet young woman! She and Mark have been together for several years and are just the perfect match! Though they look stunning all dressed up (I already have wedding day visions in my head), they are also down to earth, easy going people who love the outdoors as much as the glamorous galas – maybe even more so! I mean, what more can be said about a gal that walks through a foot of snow in high heeled sandals, and the guy that held her hand the whole way? Right!
