You invested time, energy, money and a lot of thought into your photo session. You chose outfits, decided on backgrounds, rounded up the family and maybe even employed some bargains and bribes to get everybody to cooperate. I know…I have done it! Then you reviewed and agonized (well that might be a strong word, but you know what I mean), when choosing your final photos for print. But then after all that, there they sit in the box. They deserve prime real estate in your home! Share them, show them off, and enjoy them for years to come!
And you know, really, that doesn’t just apply to your professional photos. If you are like me, you probably have a ton of great photos on your phone and stuck in your computer. Get those printed, too! If only for the reason that if something were to happen to your computer, phone, tablet, etc. you could lose those photos forever. It gives me a pit in my stomach just to think of that possibility. Here are some other reasons to get those photos printed and displayed….
Self Confidence: Displaying your photos helps build your children’s self esteem and self confidence. They notice that you have taken the time to frame, hang, and show off their photos! It feels great and helps them understand that they are valued and loved and that you want to see them all the time.
Memories: Everybody says it, but oh how true….life goes by in the blink of an eye. When you display your photos, you bring back some of the memories, feelings, etc. You can watch your children grow and recall how your precious newborn felt in your arms, hear that silly toddler giggle, and feel the pride of graduation day. Nothing sparks those memories like a great photo.
Sharing: Photos spark dialogue. When we look at photos together, we share the memories and events. We smile and laugh together. And especially on a hard day, or when a loved one feels far away, a photo can help us recall all that is good in our lives.
