Congratulations to Taylor for winning the North Dakota Dance and Drill Association’s scholarship! The announcement was made at the State Dance Competition this past weekend, and we couldn’t have been more proud! I even had tears in my eyes when she went up to receive her award.
Taylor is a beautiful strong dancer and has it has been a passion of hers since she was just a little girl. Just look at this picture of her from years ago! Yes, I took this photo, too. It brings back so many memories! Her mom told me a story that when she was around 5 or 6 and in the Mini Dance Camp. One of the HighLights asked if she thought she would be a HighLight some day. Taylor’s answer? “I KNOW I ‘m going to be a HighLight! ”
In addition to dance, Taylor has a gorgeous soprano voice and sings in choir, including many Honor Choirs. She is accomplished academically, is an active member of her community, volunteers and is a mentor to so many of our younger dancers! Again, a huge congrats to Taylor for an award well deserved!’

I have to say, our freshman Highlights are absolutely lovely and they made my senior year in dance incredible. I’m so thankful for them and their hard work.
