What a perfectly gorgeous day for a wedding! Kelsey and Collin’s day was sunny and warm, minimal wind (big deal in North Dakota) and filled with joy, laughter, and love. One of the things that struck me the most, was how much these two love loving each other! They have been a couple since their teens, and they continue to find joy in one another. One of the things that is kind of amazing about being a photographer, is having little glimpses into people, and seeing those moments that are so touching. Kelsey and Collin so freely share their love and let it shine. Its a beautiful thing. The first look was one of those moments. Though its really meant to be a private moment between a bride and a groom, its also one of those moments worthy of sharing later, because its truth, and joy and love…and touches the heart and inspires the soul. So mushy, I know.
The day unfolded without a hitch. Getting ready, first look, portraits all took place at Collin’s family home in the country. The beautiful wildflowers Collin’s mom lovingly planted were the perfect setting for some bridal portraits and the guys had some fun hanging off the old windmill. Kelsey added her veil for her walk down the aisle, and as Collin saw her for the first time in ALL her bridal wear, he was beaming. The wedding party was fun, supportive and had some of the best stories and advice during their dinner speeches and toasts! Laughter, love and celebration were definitely the themes of the day!
Congratulations to Kelsey and Collin – may your continue to love loving one another! Its a beautiful gift!
