We’re getting close to State Pageant time for the the Miss America Organization. And I get to be the luck photographer working with some of the local title holders to create their head shots and some fun pictures to include in the program books. Dacia is Miss North Dakota State Fair’s Outstanding Teen, a title awarded to her by the Minot Scholarship Organization. I was actually at that pageant and saw her perform on stage, including her amazing gymnastics talent performance! And before that, I had the opportunity to get to know her and her family when she competed last year as Miss Roug Rider Day’s Outstanding Teen. Dacia’s platform is important and I hope she continues to spread the word about the dangers of distracted driving – something we all need to be reminded of!
In this “inbetween” time – not winter and not quite green spring, is actually a super pretty time to do outdoor photos. I love the netural colors and the textures of the bare branches. It makes a lovely backdrop for colors to pop off of. And the added sparkle from Dacia’s sequined top just makes these photos all the better!
