This little sweetie couldn’t have been any better. Photographing newborns is always a treat and it’s an honor that new parents trust me with their most precious ones! Combining and contrasting textures against creamy newborn baby skin creates such visually interesting photographs! I love looking around the studio and using my props in new ways – tucking a baby into a basket lined with the bed skirt from my own bed or lying her on top of a pile of suitcases that were used just yesterday for a senior shoot. It forces me to look at my collection of stuff a little differently and it gets the creative juices going! Not to mention the adorable hats and headbands that are all the rage right now. I have a big basketful of those now. My new favorites are hand made by a special friend. See the pink rosette headband in this session. Isn’t it gorgeous?!
