Happy Valentine’s Day

Hope you all have a wonderful day filled with love and maybe a surprise or two!

We didn’t make any Valentine’s boxes this year. Yay! When we first moved here, Delanie was in kindergarten and I had no idea about the Valentine Box tradition. So when the teacher said for the kids to bring their boxes or whatever to hold their Valentine’s, I sent her to school with a heart covered gift bag. I was amazed at what the kids showed up with! I had never seen anything like it. We do not have this tradition in CA. I felt really guilty that my little girl only had a wimpy little gift bag. My favorite one was a perfectly fantastic Sponge Bob box made out of yellow sponge pieces. When Mason went to kindergarten, I didn’t make that mistake again. He had a cool box. But they are a lot of work, and I have to say that I’m glad they are growing out of that tradition. And I’m also thankful for AimeeGrace’s preschool teachers who decided to make bags in class! Of course, next year is kindergarten, so I’ll be box making again soon enough.
