Autumn and Tanner found a real hidden gem in Stone Butte Ranch Cabins for their wedding photos! They are are a wonderful local young couple so they kind of had the scoop on this unique place, which is located quite a way out in the country next to the Cannon Ball River. But the drive down dusty roads is more than worth it! The trees, the river, and the historical buildings made for perfect wedding pictures!
Getting Wedding Ready!
We started the day getting ready in New Leipzig. I always enjoy this part of the day with all the anticipation! To make it even more fun, Autumn planned a gown reveal for her bride’s maids and their genuine joy at seeing her for the first time as a bride was priceless! Then the first look with her dad brought tears to everyone’s eyes. We made the trek to Stone Butte Ranch Cabins to do all their wedding photos – starting with the first look. Tanner’s first look at his bride really was the topper! We were then able to carve out a little time just for the two of them, and it was perfection – smiles, laughs, gown twirl, hugs, kisses and genuine love!

My favorite part of wedding days is my time with just the bride and groom, and this day was no exception. I just loved how easy these two interact with one another and the photos show it. Autumn was radiant and Tanner was so handsome and adoring! Then the wedding party arrived and the fun began. This group was outgoing, enthusiastic and just super fun – and a little crazy enough to do a gag picture with an outhouse! LOL! Check out the Cabins on their Facebook page, too!
Wedding Reception Fun!
After they were married in a lovely ceremony at New Leipzig Baptist Church , we headed to the reception at the Elgin Community Center. You might remember seeing some other photos here from Carly and Tyler’s wedding a few weeks ago! They are all now officially brother and sister’s in laws! These families know how to celebrate and have fun! Autumn’s sisters and Tanner’s brother delivered heart felt but very entertaining toasts to the bride and groom. It’s so fun to hear the stories, especially from Autumn’s sister who talked about listening in on their phone conversations when they were kids! Seriously big laughs!
We got the famous cigar shots and I think I have a new favorite! Autumn didn’t really smoke the cigar (we had somebody sneak in and “place” some smoke), but the girl modeled like a pro and they just killed the shots! LOVED IT for the most fun one of the day! Some romantic dances and some party dancing and the day was a smashing success!
