You may be thinking that you’re not even officially a senior yet. But really, it’s not too early to be thinking about your senior pictures.
Summer in North Dakota is beautiful, and (obviously) the most popular time for professional photos. I am already booked with weddings and family reunion sessions. I even already have quite a few seniors on the calendar. Time slips by quickly, summer activities will soon be in full gear, and you are not going to want to feel rushed when preparing for your senior portrait session. Giving yourself ample time, knowing that you have secured your preferred date, will allow you to start planning your pictures without feeling too hurried. You can start thinking through the themes you may want to use, plan your wardrobe, shop for a few special items, contact coaches to collect jerseys, etc. – all without feeling the stress a time crunch can lead to.
If you are an athlete or have a summer job and need a specific date, you will want to call soon. I do reserve weekend dates for athletes, so we can work around practice schedules. However, those date are extremely limited and fill the quickest. I also will be traveling this summer and have weekend weddings already on the books. Summer dates are the next to fill, quickly followed by early fall. Yes, even if you want a September senior pictures date, you should plan for it now! After school starts, it will be even more difficult to find your ideal senior session date.
